Godai Sahara is an artist and a medical doctor working on prevention. Sahara’s work spans a variety of media, including performances, objects, videos, texts and drawings. Key components of the work are often ephemeral and experienced through viewers’ bodies, like wine, soap, songs, conversations and massage balls. With those elements based on research and personal encounters, Sahara proposes alternative ways of passing time within everyday-life conditions. That is perhaps to examine how one’s pursuit of ‘well-being’, or more generally, wish for ‘the better’, can relate to and affect others’ and surroundings, in order to be able to live as if there were no problems.
